yet another disturbing report from the campaign trail

as politicians on both sides of the aisle continue to conflate Christianity with constitutional government I find myself overwhelmingly thankful for, and longing for a healthier expression of, the separation of church and state. Sovereign Lord, please ensure that these two will never become one. Except in a certain county of south carolina. they can run their sanitarium in whatever way they see fit.

I think on the gay marriage they should have before you vote, on one screen two men making out, and on the other two women making out then see if you find that revolting, then vote on that fact not "fairness" "fairness" or tolerance is only going to last so long until someone goes crazy and makes some history. I am interested to see how long this magnified tolerance is going to last when it seems everyone on this issue is ready to duke it out.

I really do hate political conversations because people get so ridiculously angry. I think as followers of Christ we need to protect ourselves from this anger, lest we fall victims to the enemy.

Also, Adam, I think it helps in any issue to know the people who deal with specific issues so that these issues don't just remain in a theoretical world. Then it makes voting all the more difficult. It's not as black and white as I once thought. Let's cling to humility this year.

the end of my post got lopped off...

We need to vote, but I know my vote won't be so confident as it used to be. This is a very hard year. I just hope there can be more dialogue instead of such expressed anger which gets us nowhere constructively.
