a humble request
i am planning to visit friends and make merry in lincoln illinois next monday and tuesday (10.3 - 10.4). if you (a) live in lincoln (b) read this blog and (c) would be willing to let me crash on your floor on monday night please let me know. i would prefer to stay on campus, where i can interact with the students and perhaps subvert a few minds, but am well aware that beggars can't be choosers.
if you are willing to briefly house this jaded optimist please drop a comment or send an email to jeffkelliegentry@yahoo.com. your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

i would love nothing more. i almost want to extend my trip. i wonder if i can change the dates i fly without totally uping the price.
meade,
i thought about you the other day when i listened to your counting crows across the wire disc. if you can make it down to lincoln on monday or tuesday, i'd love to see you.
jamie,
same with you. use that car for a late night trip and we'll hang out at steak and shake, i'll pretend to smoke (the doc says that if my breathing doesn't get better, i'll be ambulatory by 60. bye, bye cigarettes!) and we'll have a great old time.
oh yeah, scott...can you believe that smoking cigars was a sign of rebellion? legalism is such a funny thing.
Though not near good ol' Lincoln, have a safe trip. Have some skinny fries, a steakburger and a shake for me. Pad Thai never seems to get old, but I do miss Steak n' Shake every once in a while. Have Fun!
hey m,
thanks for stopping by. i am glad your adventure in thailand is going well.
tracy,
i don't have any plans as of yet. what day/time/place works best for ya?
Monday is best for me, Tuesday I have to go to Champaign, so anytime on Monday! Let me know where the party is and I will be there!
You could stay at my folks. Just know that the old Dr. walks around in his whities a lot. Actually, I probably shouldn't volunteer them, so nevermind. But still...if you're in a fix...go for the Lowery home.
And speaking of places to stay, remember on our freshman year week of e trip when we stayed together at that lady's house and every day she let us drive her car and we drove by that boy's home where they filmed "Sleepers"? Every time I see that movie, which is...well...twice...I think, "Gentry and I drove by that place every morning for a week."

i have decided to stay with aaron and tracy monts.
i was initially disappointed that i didn't have any offers from dorm rats. then i realized that my blog probably doesn't get past the lcc filters.
i guess titus, timothy, alumni and harmony are still an untapped market for musings.
